How Raise Networks and PQCrypto.ai are turning quantum risk into a measurable, fixable problem — starting with one client’s network.

The Quantum Threat Isn’t Hypothetical Anymore

Quantum computers capable of breaking today’s public-key encryption are still years away, but the attacks they enable have already started. Adversaries are harvesting encrypted data now, betting they’ll have the quantum horsepower to decrypt it later. Security teams call this “harvest now, decrypt later,” and it’s why NIST finalized its post-quantum cryptography standards (ML-KEM and ML-DSA) as the new baseline for protecting data in transit and at rest.

The uncomfortable truth for most IT environments — from fast-growing SMBs to Fortune 100 enterprises — is that almost none of them know where they stand. Legacy encryption is baked into servers, network devices, VPNs, and services that have run untouched for years. You can’t fix what you haven’t measured.

Meet PQClens: Quantum Risk You Can Actually See

That’s the gap Raise Networks set out to close with PQClens, built on our managed services partnership with PQCrypto.ai. PQClens scans an environment end-to-end — compute, network devices, services, and security infrastructure — and flags exactly where quantum-vulnerable cryptography is still in use. Instead of a generic compliance checklist, clients get a live, visual picture of their exposure: severity breakdown, category-by-category risk, and a topology view of how it all connects.

As the Raise Networks / PQCrypto.ai partnership has matured, PQClens has moved from concept to something we now deploy directly for clients — and we recently put it to work in a live production environment.

Putting It to Work: What We Found

We deployed PQClens as an initial discovery scan for a client environment spanning servers, network devices, and core services. The results were a wake-up call, and a fairly typical one for organizations that haven’t started their quantum-readiness journey:

  • The scan identified a wide range of critical-severity, quantum-vulnerable cryptographic exposures across the environment. These were not isolated pockets; the exposure was system-wide.
  • The client’s overall PQC Readiness Score came back near the bottom of the scale. Quantum-safe algorithms hadn’t been adopted anywhere in the scanned footprint.
  • Compute and core services carried the largest concentration of exposures, followed by networking infrastructure, security tooling, and other supporting systems.
  • A full topology map showed the client’s team exactly how vulnerable systems connect to the rest of the network, turning an abstract risk into a concrete remediation roadmap.

Illustrative Snapshot: What a PQClens Scan Reveals

Compute — Servers relying on classical, quantum-vulnerable encryption — Critical
Services — Application and platform services with legacy cryptographic dependencies — Critical
Networking — Gateways, VPN, and routing infrastructure exposed to future decryption — Critical
Security Tooling — Security infrastructure itself found running non-quantum-safe algorithms — Critical
Overall PQC Readiness — No quantum-safe algorithms detected across the scanned environment — Not Yet Ready

Client details are withheld here by design — but the pattern is one we expect to see repeat across most environments we scan. This wasn’t a company that had ignored security; it’s a company that, like most, hadn’t yet had visibility into this specific, emerging category of risk.

Why This Matters for Your Organization

If a PQClens scan on a well-run environment turns up critical, system-wide exposure, it’s a reasonable bet that most networks — including yours — carry similar hidden risk. The good news: unlike many security problems, this one has a clear starting point. You scan, you get a prioritized map of exposure, and you build a phased migration plan toward NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithms. No rip-and-replace required on day one.

Whether you’re a growing business protecting customer data or a large enterprise managing regulatory and supply-chain risk, quantum readiness is quickly becoming table stakes — not a someday problem.

How We Actually Fix It

A scan is only useful if it leads somewhere. Once PQClens maps the exposure, Raise Networks and PQCrypto.ai move straight into remediation, not a PDF report handed off for someone else to figure out:

  • Prioritized roadmap: the highest-risk systems (typically compute and core services) are addressed first, so the biggest exposures close fastest.
  • Migration to NIST-standardized algorithms: ML-KEM for key exchange and ML-DSA for digital signatures, replacing classical, quantum-vulnerable cryptography.
  • Quantum-safe VPN: encrypting data in transit with PQC-backed tunnels rather than legacy protocols.
  • Encrypted backups and archives: applying quantum-safe encryption to data at rest across cloud and local storage.
  • No rip-and-replace: migrations are phased and designed to run alongside existing workflows with minimal disruption.
  • Continuous re-scanning: PQClens re-runs on a schedule so clients can watch their readiness score climb over time, not just see a one-time snapshot.

This is the part that turns a scary finding into a managed project with a start date, milestones, and an end state. That is exactly what happened in this deployment.

If any of this sounds familiar, or you simply don’t know where your organization stands, reach out to Raise Networks. We’ll walk you through what a PQClens scan would look like for your environment and what a realistic remediation timeline looks like, no obligation.

What’s Next for Raise Networks & PQCrypto.ai

This deployment is an early proof point in a bigger goal: becoming a recognized leader among managed service providers in post-quantum security. Our partnership with PQCrypto.ai gives Raise Networks clients direct access to PQClens scanning, quantum-safe VPN, and encrypted backup solutions — backed by our managed services team to actually execute the remediation, not just hand over a report.

We’re proud of this first deployment, and we’re actively rolling PQClens out to more clients across our portfolio in the months ahead.
